In this academic year we welcomed over 130 new teachers into our organisation. They have been appointed to teaching posts throughout our 23 colleges and many other centres across the city of Dublin. Their disciplines include Art, Business, Languages, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Music, Catering, Sports, Law, Health, Social Care, Communications and Media. They also include Industry Experts in areas like Digital Visualisation and Beauty Therapy.
We are particularly glad to welcome six new teachers into our brand new second level Clonturk Community College which is an exciting partnership with Educate Together.

Today Friday 11th November many of our new teachers will attend an Induction Workshop at Killester College run by our Curriculum Development Unit. They will be welcomed by CE Carol Hanney; hear about Policy and Practice from Blake Hodkinson; about HR from Lisa Doherty; about our Psychological Service and Student Support by Stephen O’Neill and Georgie Maher; about our Sports and Cultural Council by Gerard Flanagan. They will also be introduced to our Curriculum Development Unit by Miriam O’Donaghue and explore strategies for wellbeing at Work by Dr Marie Rooney.
CDETB CE Carol Hanney said today. ‘We hope this very talented group of people will take full advantage of the supports we have developed both for staff and students across the city. They have joined a very vibrant organisation and we look forward to their participation not only in curriculum development but also in the many cultural and sports activities that happen across the city. We are delighted to welcome this new group of educational innovators onto our team.’
