Foundations Project had an amazing response to their Christmas Gift Drive appeal for 2015. The team distributed about 300 fabulous Christmas presents to 160 families living in emergency accommodation, all through donations. We also gave out hundreds of tins of biscuits and sweets that were donated and gave lovely food hampers to families with access to cooking facilities.
Families were so grateful for everything that was gifted to them.
We particularly want to thank the people who co-ordinated the Gift Drive and donations for us and did such amazing work. They were Audrey Matthews and the Social Club in CDETB Head Office, Sonia McAuliffe in CDETB Ringsend and Bodytransformations Gym in Clongriffin, Cathy Byrne in Dublin Vineyard Church and Shelly O’Connor in Steel Magnolias Hairdressers in Stoneybatter. They all collected in and organised large amounts of gifts and donations for us, even delivering them to our door in good time for Christmas.
We also want to thank Laura Ivers and Clowns Without Borders who did an amazing Christmas Party performance for us and Frank Mulvihill for donning the red Santa suit again for the kids party!
Finally, thanks to SIAC Construction for an incredibly generous €1,500 donation to the project for our Christmas activities in the Children’s Club.
And thanks to the team here in Foundations for working so hard in the run up to Christmas.
It’ll be Christmas again before we know it!…”
