There are many avenues open to the 57,000 students who received their Leaving Certificate results yesterday.  While many will progress seamlessly to the Third Level course of their choice, many more will be experiencing a change of mind.  If you want to change direction or have not yet applied for a courses check out the full-time courses on offer in CDETB Colleges across the city.  It may not be too late to apply.  Vacancies will arise and it is important to keep in touch.
Coláiste Íde, our College of Further Education in Finglas, for example, currently has vacancies in Accounting Technician, Art Portfolio, Fashion Portfolio and Secretarial. Principal Malachy Buckeridge said today;  ‘If you want to progress to a career in fashion we have something for you.  The important thing to remember is that you can’t be considered if you don’t apply’.
City of Dublin Education and Training Board (formerly CDVEC) has 22 colleges across the city.  We offer almost 400 full-time courses to the post Leaving Certificate student.  The range and choice will surprise you. Our Colleges of Further Education are always happy to receive enquiries.
