Inchicore CFE graduates receive warm congratulations from Minister

Graduates from Inchicore CFE were delighted to have the Minister for Education and Skills Jan O’Sullivan attend their award ceremony in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Thursday 3rd September. The Minister acknowledged that the Further Education sector has never been so vibrant and crucial. She told students they should be very proud of their significant achievements.

Both the Minister and the CEO of CDETB Jacinta Stewart paid warm tributes to retiring Principal Michael Challoner. Michael Challoner was part of a group of teachers who transformed Inchicore Vocational School into one of the largest Colleges of Further Education in the country. In his 17 years as Principal in Inchicore College of Further Education he has led the college with great vision developing cutting edge courses in areas like Leisure Management, Costume Design, Drama, Social Care and Childcare.

At the ceremony the Minister presented certificates in: Disability and Healthcare Support; Healthcare Support Pre Paramedic; Tourism; Computer Business Applications; Business and Legal Office Skills; Social Studies.

Jacinta Stewart presented certificates in: Early Childhood Care and Education CC1; Early Childhood Care and Education CC2; Early Childhood Care and Education Level 4; Part Time Childcare; Theatre Performance; Dance Studies.

Michael Challoner presented certificates in: Creative Writing and Cultural Studies; Art and Design ; Return to Learning Community Care; Pre Nursing 1; Pre Nursing 2.

Deputy Principal Laetitia Moloney presented certificates in: Sports Coaching 1; Sports Coaching 2.
