Interviews start next week at Crumlin College of Further Education

August 17, 2013

Crumlin College of Further Education specialises in courses like beauty, fashion, make-up, catering and sports.  They have recently reinvented their tourism course and run very good courses in IT and multimedia. Principal Jacqui O’Sullivan’s message to students at this time is; ‘Follow your interest and look up courses that reflect your interest. Don’t assume that the course you are interested in is full. If you apply now you may still be offered an interview’.

Interviews start next week so it is important to apply as soon as possible.  Beauty is not just about make up.  It involves the whole person.  It involves looking after yourself and others and includes modules like dermatology, beauty science, holistic massage or reflexology.   Beauty therapy includes subjects like body therapy, skin analysis and nail therapy. Sport is just not about exercise.  It is also about the whole person and includes the study of sports therapy equipment, sports nutrition and psychology.

If your interest is business and you are undecided about what direction to take why not try a one year course that will prepare you for the world of work? Crumlin CFE offers two excellent one year courses; Essential Computer Applications and Sales and Marketing.  You will develop a range of critically important skills including customer service skills.  A student will often progress from a one year sales and marketing course to a longer course in their area of interest perhaps, for example, beauty hair and fashion. You will be surprised by how cost-effective these courses are.

City of Dublin Education and Training Board (formerly CDVEC) has 22 colleges across the city.  We offer almost 400 full-time courses to the post Leaving Certificate student.  The range and choice will surprise you. Our Colleges of Further Education are always happy to receive enquiries.
