New Infection Prevention & Control online course by Coláiste Íde

May 26, 2020

Infection Prevention & Control, launched by Coláiste Íde, is a new three week online intensive course aimed at people working in Childcare and Healthcare settings.

This Skills to Advance course has been designed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Learners will have the ability to track their own progress. They can learn through a variety of activities that apply to many different learning styles. Blended learning offers flexible time frames that can be personalised to each learner giving them an independent time frame in which to learn and complete the course.

The tutor will deliver tutorials for the duration of the programme.  At the beginning of the course there will be a Moodle induction, class plans and notes will be available on Moodle. There are eight tutorials scheduled from 5 – 6 pm for up to three tutorials per week, spread over three weeks. At the end of each tutorial, learners will complete a checklist and are given feedback by the tutor. There is a mock exam revision on day eight followed by an Online Exam 40% on day nine and 60% assessments to be completed over two weeks. The course is due to start this week and will be completed by the week of June 29th.
