Courses are filling fast across the city but there may still be vacancies.

Coláiste Ide, for example, has vacancies on the following courses;

Preparatory Science Studies – Natural Sciences 1 year FETAC level 5
The course includes; Laboratory Skills, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Maths, Food Chemistry and Anatomy and Physiology. Suitably qualified applicants can progress to Third Level. For the academic year 2014 students have obtained places on Biotechnology, Science and Biomedical Science in Maynooth. While in 2013 several students went to Trinity, UCD and Maynooth.

Accounting Technicans
This is a professional qualification over two years certified by Accounting Technicians Ireland. (Formerly Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland) In 2013 two students came 2nd and 3rd in Ireland and in 2014 Ann Coates came first in Ireland in her final year exams. Progression routes include exemptions from certain exams from the main accountancy bodies. There is also a direct entry route to the third year of the honours business degree in IT Tallaght.

Portfolio Preparation in Fashion and Textile Design – 1 year FETAC level 5
This course gives a strong grounding in drawing and design skills. Past students have obtained places in a range of Art colleges such as NCAD, LIT, IADT and UK colleges.
