In response to the language needs of Dublin’s migrant communities, CDETB provides language programmes at various levels in its colleges and in the community.

ESOL, or English for Speakers of Other Languages, incorporates communicative language techniques for mixed levels and uses cross-cultural approaches that recognise a learner’s other languages/cultures.  This work is supported by the ESOL Co-ordination team based in Parnell Adult Learning Centre who co-ordinate provision, support teachers and tutors, develop programmes and resources and advise on policy in relation to second level, further and adult education.
