New staff attend induction programme

The CDETB Curriculum Development Unit provided a one day induction programme on Friday 7th November for the 59 new staff who have begun teaching across the city.  Fourteen of the new staff have joined the Youthreach team; one has joined the Bridge Project, one the Pathways project, up to 10 new staff have joined second level schools and over 30 will be teaching at PLC level.

CDETB CEO Jacinta warmly welcomed this new group who will bring a wealth of expertise to the organisations teaching programmes from Accounting through Business,  Childcare, Computer Science, IT, Horticulture, Animal Science, Sports, Fashion, Art and many other programme areas.

The new group received presentations on the supports available to assist their Continual Professional Development including the ePathways ePortfolio, the CDETB Psychological Service, the CDETB Further Education and Support Service and the CDETB Sports and Cultural Council.
