CDETB is saddened to hear the news of the death of former student Pierre Zakrzewski who was killed while covering the war in Ukraine as a TV News Cameraman. Pierre studied Television and Audio Operations in Ballyfermot College of Further Education in 1995.

Pierre’s former Teacher John Moriarty who is now the Director of Transformation and Knowledge in CDETB remembered Pierre as a keen and fun-loving mature student who always wanted to work in TV Journalism and had a very successful career from the moment he graduated.

CDETB would like to offer its sincere condolences to Pierre’s wife Michelle and his family, friends, and work colleagues.
