With an ICT Apprenticeship you will have the chance to receive recognised training, practical experience and an opportunity to earn while you learn!

The Civil Service is now offering an exciting opportunity through the Apprentice ICT Specialist Programme for you to join the Civil Service as an ICT Specialist at the end of this two-year apprenticeship. This programme is being run in association with FIT, the national coordinating provider for ICT Tech Apprenticeships. The off-the-job learning will be provided by CDETB at our Finglas Training Centre. The programme is expected to commence in late April 2019.

RTE, reporting on the Government’ s launch of this Apprenticeship on 7th February, said ‘the move comes at a time when the war for IT talent is intense, with many organisations struggling to recruit workers’.

The Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe TD, announced the Apprenticeship on Thursday 7th February.  Read press release here.
